Best Place to Hang a Boxing Punching Bag
Mount-It to the Ceiling
Ceiling mounts for punching bags usually include all the required installation hardware. Identify a suitable spot on a ceiling joist or support beam, mark where the bolts will be placed, and drill the holes. Secure the mount using a screwdriver or spanner. Attach the chains to the bag and connect them to the S-hook. With assistance, lift the bag and hang it from the mount. Test the setup with a few punches to confirm its stability.
Hang It from a Ceiling Joist
The most reliable method for hanging a punching bag at home is a ceiling joist. Begin by drilling a hole in the joist, securing an eye bolt, and attaching the bag with a chain and S-hook. With the help of another person, lift the bag and hang the S-hook onto the eye bolt. Test the setup by throwing a few punches to ensure it's securely in place.
Mount-It to the Wall
A wall bracket is another effective option, but it should be mounted on a supporting wall rather than a partition wall. Position the bracket on the wall and mark where the bolts will be placed. Drill the holes and secure the bracket using the provided hardware. Attach the S-hook and chain to the bag, then hang it from the wall mount.
